In an era of globalisation, the need and importance of Journalism & Mass Communication cannot be over emphasized. It is the result of increasing awareness in the country that Mass Communication is an essential catalyst for national development and social change. Thereby, a Post-graduate programme in Journalism and Mass Communication was started in 2001 and thus the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication came into being at the C.C.S. University Campus.
